The YL-MBS15-X is a 48×48×48mm square LED ground burial light producing a single vertical light bar, repeated at 800–1500mm centres to rhythm a boundary wall, colonnade or façade skirt. One CREE XTE 3W chip, CRI 90Ra, DC12-24V, IP67, 0.5m rubber cable, 3-year warranty; square trim follows stone and brick coursing. 500kg static load rating - planting beds and non-trafficked zones, not rated for vehicle loading.

A 20m boundary wall at 1200mm centres takes 15 fixtures drawing 45W total, which a single 60W DC24V driver covers with 25% headroom. One driver, one enclosure, one point of service instead of three.

The 48×48mm face aligns with standard brick and coursed stone joints, so the light bars land on the module lines rather than cutting across them. On repeated-rhythm façade work, that alignment is what separates a designed scheme from a row of holes.

3. RGBW for façade color changes

 

The same housing takes WW/NW/CW, Dual CCT 3000+6000K, RGB and RGBW. A boundary wall runs 3000K nightly and switches to brand colour for events, without a parallel colour-change system installed alongside.

 

4. 304 stainless steel + 6063 aluminum, IP67

 

Buried at the base of a wall, the fixture sits where rainwater sheets off the face and collects. Stainless trim and IP67 sealing handle standing water at that location; 500kg static load, 3-year warranty.

01.   What is an RGB in-ground light?

An RGB in-ground light is a recessed fixture containing red, green, and blue LED chips that mix to produce millions of colors from a single unit. RGBW versions add a dedicated white chip for a cleaner, higher-quality white than RGB mixing alone can achieve. They are controlled by DMX, a wireless app, or a proprietary controller.

02.  How are RGB in-ground lights controlled?

RGB in-ground lights are controlled by DMX512 for professional architectural installations, or by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Zigbee app control for residential use. DMX offers precise, synchronized, addressable control across large fixture counts and long runs; app-based control is simpler and cheaper but has range limits and depends on the manufacturer's app remaining supported.

03.  Are RGB in-ground lights good for residential gardens?

RGB in-ground lights work well in residential gardens when used selectively - for a feature wall, water element, or seasonal color - rather than throughout the whole scheme. Whole-garden color tends to look garish and dates quickly. A common approach is warm white as the base layer with a few RGB fixtures reserved for accents and holidays.

04.  What is the difference between RGB and RGBW in-ground lights?

RGB fixtures create white by mixing red, green, and blue at full output, which produces a slightly tinted, lower-quality white. RGBW fixtures include a separate white LED, giving a true, clean white plus better pastel tones and higher overall efficiency. If you want the fixture to serve as an everyday white light as well as a color feature, choose RGBW.

05.  What is the difference between ground spot lights and floodlights?

Ground spot lights use a narrow beam (typically under 30°) to highlight a specific object, while floodlights use a wide beam (60°–120°) to illuminate a broad area. Spots create contrast and drama; floods create general visibility. Most well-designed schemes combine both - spots for feature planting and architecture, floods for pathways and functional zones.

06.  Are ground spot lights energy efficient?

Modern LED ground spot lights are highly efficient, typically drawing 3–24W and delivering 80–130 lumens per watt, compared with 20–50 lumens per watt for the halogen fixtures they replaced.
