1. 48×48×48mm square face on a Φ35mm round hole

 

A 48mm square face sits on a Φ35mm round core hole, so the fixture lines up with square pavers, granite setts and 600×600 patio slabs while still being drilled with a standard 35mm bit. Total depth is only 48mm, allowing installation over thin screed beds and shallow paving sand.

2. 90RA colour rendering

 

At 90RA, the light renders sandstone yellow, timber grain and planted colour close to daylight, whereas typical 70RA outdoor fixtures flatten these tones. 4. 0.5m rubber cable, factory-sealed

 

Each light ships with a 0.5m rubber cable sealed into the housing in production, so the IP67 boundary is completed at the factory, not in the trench. The 0.5m tail reaches a buried connector below the paving line, and replacing a fixture means opening one joint rather than re-cutting the slab.

5. DC12-24V wide input, three housing colours, 3-year warranty

 

The wide DC12-24V input tolerates voltage drop over long garden runs, so the last fixture on a 30m cable still lights at full output. 01.   How deep do I need to dig to install LED recessed ground lights?

Excavate roughly 50–80 mm deeper than the fixture housing and 30–50 mm wider on each side. Fill that extra space with gravel or coarse aggregate so water drains away from the base instead of pooling around it. The trim ring should finish level with or 2 mm above the surrounding paving, never below it.

02.  Can outdoor patio ground lights be installed into an existing concrete slab?

Yes, using a core drill. Cut the hole with a diamond core bit, run the cable through a conduit chase cut into the slab, seal the fixture perimeter with a neutral-cure silicone rated for exterior use, and reinstate the surface. Cable routing is the harder part, so on existing slabs many customers prefer surface-mounted units or plan the runs along an existing expansion joint.

03.  What does IP67 and IP68 really mean for waterproof ground lights?

IP67 means the unit survives temporary immersion in 1 m of water for 30 minutes. IP68 means continuous immersion at a stated depth. Because a buried fixture can sit in a puddle for days after heavy rain, always specify IP67 as the minimum and IP68 where drainage is poor or the light sits in a lawn that gets irrigated. Never install an IP65 unit in the ground.

04.  Why did water still get inside an IP68 fixture?

Nine times out of ten the water arrives through the cable, not the housing. Moisture wicks along the strands inside the cable sheath and appears in the driver or the fixture body. Prevent this by keeping all joints above ground or inside a sealed junction box, using resin-filled or gel-filled connectors rather than tape, never cutting the factory cable gland, and leaving the connection point higher than the fixture.

05.  Where should the transformer or driver be located?

Above ground, in a ventilated and shaded position, protected from direct rain, and accessible for service. Never bury a driver, and never place it inside a sealed underground box without drainage - the heat has nowhere to go and condensation forms every night. Keep at least 100 mm of air around the housing.

06.  My fixture flickers or one unit is dimmer than the rest. What should I check?

Work through it in this order: confirm total load against transformer capacity, measure the voltage at the last fixture in the run, check for a loose or corroded connector, and confirm the dimmer is compatible with the driver. A single dim unit at the end of a run almost always means voltage drop - thicker cable or a split run into two circuits will fix it.
