1. Φ32mm Hole, 1–10mm Panel Thickness

 

The YL-MBS05-X clamps with a screw nut onto panels 1–10mm thick through a single Φ32mm hole, so one SKU covers 2.5mm aluminum sheet, 4mm ACP, 6mm WPC and 10mm hardwood decking. Installers drill one bore size across the whole façade or deck instead of stocking three fixture variants, cutting on-site tooling changes to zero.

2. 42×42×53mm Square Body

 

At 42×42×53mm the square housing sits flush in the panel face, with only 53mm of depth needed behind it - clearance available inside standard deck joists(38mm) and most curtain-wall cavities. The square edge aligns with tile grout lines and board seams, so a 10-light run reads as one straight line rather than staggered circles.

3. IP67, 304 Stainless + 6063 Aluminum

 

IP67 means 30 minutes at 1m submersion, which covers pool coping washdown, deck rain pooling and SPA wall splash. The 304 stainless face resists chlorinated water and passes 480h neutral salt spray, while the 6063 aluminum body carries heat away from the 3W LED, holding junction temperature under 85°C in enclosed panel cavities.

4. DC12–24V, 3W

 

Running on DC12–24V SELV at 3W, one 60W driver powers up to 18 units at 90% load, and voltage drop across 20m of 1.0mm² cable stays within the operating window. Low-voltage wiring needs no conduit or licensed electrician in most residential jobs, cutting installation labor on a 20-light deck by roughly 4 hours.

01.  What hole size do I need to drill, and how thick a panel can it clamp?

Drill a single Φ32mm bore. The screw-nut mount clamps from behind on any panel 1–10mm thick - 2.5mm aluminum sheet, 4mm ACP, 6mm WPC and 10mm hardwood decking all use the same bore and the same fixture. No backing plate or spring clip required.

02.  How much clearance do I need behind the panel?

The body is 42×42×53mm, so allow 53mm of depth plus cable bend radius - roughly 70mm total. That fits inside standard 38mm deck joist cavities when routed between joists, and inside most curtain-wall panel voids.

03.  Can it be walked on or driven over?

It is rated for foot traffic on decks, coping and step risers. It is not a drive-over driveway fixture.

04.  What does IP67 mean for poolside and SPA use?

IP67 covers 30 minutes of immersion at 1m depth, which handles rain pooling, deck washdown and splash on SPA walls and pool coping. It is not rated for permanent underwater installation below the waterline - that requires IP68.

05.  Will the stainless face rust near chlorinated or salt water?

The face is 304 stainless over a 6063 aluminum body, tested to 480h neutral salt spray. Rinse chlorine and salt residue during normal deck cleaning; 304 resists pitting far longer than the 201 stainless used in most low-cost fixtures.

06.  How many fixtures can run on one driver and one cable run?

Each unit draws 3W at DC12–24V. A 60W driver carries 18 units at 90% load. On 1.0mm² cable at 24V, keep runs under 20m to stay inside the voltage window; at 12V, halve that or step up conductor size.
